We are delivering a 2-week intensive programme designed to prepare you for new entrant Administrative Officer (AO) job opportunities within the Civil Service. We will provide you with the skills and knowledge to complete the application process, demonstrating your competency and potential in local Civil Service departments within Greater Merseyside. In addition to the 2 weeks, face-to-face development programme, you will receive ongoing personalised support for up to 6 months:

1st Programme

(Autumn 2023)

The ‘test and learn’ pilot of the Civil Service Skills Bootcamp programme was delivered from Hope University Business School in the Autumn of 2023 with unprecedented results. All 20 people from the first Group moved into work across a number of Civil Service Departments in the Liverpool City Region.

2nd Programme

(December 2023)

The 2nd Civil Service Skills Bootcamp was delivered in December 2023 and once again was an impact rich experience with 23 informal job discussions carried out on the last day of the course and 21 delegates being offered roles within the Home Office.

(2024)

Our 3rd Civil Service Skills Bootcamp once again saw 20 ambitious individuals gain a job offer for 20 exciting roles made available within the Liverpool City Centre office

What's the plan?

  • Intensive programme – designed in collaboration with the Civil Service to maximise successful recruitment.
  • Gain new skills and underpinning knowledge in core competencies such as communication and professional behaviours – become ‘work-ready’.

  • On-going support, information advice and guidance after course completion (up to 6 months)
